Purple tile picture with Biblical theme of Rebecca at the well

Tile factory The Danzig Arms [Het wapen van Dantzig, period of Johannes van der Wolk] 

The thirty-piece tile picture (6 high, 5 wide) is painted in purple with the biblical scene of the choosing of Rebecca when she is receiving jewellery from Eliezer (Gen. 24: 22). The painting is based on a print by Jacopo Amigoni, which was published by Joseph Wagner in Venice in 1764. The biblical scene is framed within a border. 

Dimensions: height 78 cm / 30.70 in., width 65 cm / 25.59 (without wooden frame)
