The barrel-shaped mustard pot stands on a waisted, profiled foot and has a short neck. The ear-shaped handle is pierced at the top to allow for mounting a metal lid. The mustard pot is painted in blue on a light blue tinted tin glaze with Chinese figures in an oriental landscape. Block-shaped ornaments are applied around the foot, the handle is decorated with scroll ornaments and dots. The oriental landscape is executed in purple outlining.
