Blue and white shoe with some purple

JVV 0163 

Harlingen, circa 1700 

The shoe has a rounded toe and a high vamp that ends in a small bow. The upper is painted in blue with a decor of curled leaves and grapes, the toe box with a flower. Imitation stitching is applied to the counter and just above the sole. The collar, the heel and the sole are in purple and blue.

Dimensions: length 14,5 cm / 5.70 in., width 5 cm / 1.96 in., height 7 cm / 2.75 in.
