Blue and white chinoiserie plate

Delft, circa 1690 

The blue and white plate has a flat flange and is painted with a chinoiserie decoration of a rocky landscape with various flowers and plants. A bird is flying in the sky. The decor is enclosed in a double circle. Three broad rocky landscapes are painted on the well and the flange, separated from each other by an insect. 

Dimensions: diameter 25,9 cm / 10.19 in. 

Explanatory note
The plate has no foot rim. Such plates are called pancakes.
