The blue and white dish has a wide, spreading rim and is painted in the centre with a vase with flowers, floral sprays and butterflies. The vase itself is also decorated with flowers and a bird on a rock. The depiction is framed in a band with block-shaped elements between double circles. The well and flange are painted with flower arrangements, floral sprigs, a bird and butterflies. The outer rim is blue.

Similar examples
A slightly larger dish (39 cm/15.35 in.) with an almost identical decor is in the collection of the Hessisches Landesmuseum in Kassel and is depicted in Bauer (p. 72, fig. 65). Two smaller examples are in Musée National de Céramique in Sèvres (Lahaussois, p. 83, no. 23) and the Victoria Albert Museum (C.433-1922).
