The blue and white wine jug has a round body standing on a wide, spreading foot, and a slightly conical neck with pouring lip and twisted handle ending in a scroll. The jug is painted with three Chinese figures in an oriental garden landscape. On the shoulder is a band with scroll ornaments, and the neck is decorated with two stylised flowers and scroll ornaments. The spreading foot is painted with pointed leaves under a double circle. The neck is fitted with a pewter lid with a thumb rest, the foot with a pewter ring.
