Mark: an axe 

The Porcelain Axe pottery  

The blue and white, square bowls have a profiled, cantilevered upper rim and are painted in the centre with a Dutch three-master at sea. The panelled border consists of eight wide and eight narrow panels. The wide panels are decorated with trellis-work and crowned at the top with blue-accented volutes. The narrow panels are alternately crowned at the top with four whole and four half shells. On the back, a simple floral ornament is painted on each side. 

Dimensions: length 25 cm / 9.84 in., width 25 cm / 9.84 in.
